All Blocks Out guide: tips, worlds and every tricky block
All Blocks Out is a free sliding block puzzle in your browser, in the style of Color Block Jam. Every jelly block has to leave the board through a gate of its own colour. Simple at first, but new blocks and rules keep coming. This guide explains them all, with tips to finish each level in the fewest moves.
How a move works
- Drag a block and it slides as far as it can go, even around corners. That whole slide is one move.
- A block leaves through a gate of its own colour, but only if it fits: a wide block needs a wide gate.
- The moves goal is the fewest moves our solver found. Match it for three stars: it is always possible.
- Levels with a gold border have a move limit, and boss levels have a clock that counts down.

Every block and rule explained
- Squeeze: a block that is too wide for its gate can squeeze into a long strip. Push it against the gate and hold; then slide the strip out.
- Arrow blocks: they only move left and right, or only up and down.
- Ice: a frozen block thaws once a set number of other blocks are out.
- Twins: two blocks of the same colour and shape side by side melt into one bigger block, for free.
- Sugar wire: push a block against the end of the wire twice and it is cut in two. The wire also stops blocks.
- Mixing bowl: drop in red, blue or yellow and the bowl holds it. A second colour comes back mixed: red + yellow = orange, blue + yellow = green, red + blue = purple. The level is only done when the bowl is empty.
- Straight moves: in some worlds one move is one straight line, as far as you like; turning a corner is a new move.
- Gliding: a block keeps sliding until something stops it.
- Walls and colour walls: walls block everything. A colour wall only stands while a block of its colour is still on the board.
- Portals and moulds: a portal sends a block out at the other end; a mould reshapes a block into a new shape with the same number of squares.
- The wheel: some levels have up to three boards on a big wheel. Tap the green button to turn to the next one.

7 tips for fewer moves
- Find the block in everyone's way. Usually one block blocks two or three others. Move that one first.
- Make room for the big blocks early. They have the fewest ways out, and the board only gets fuller.
- One slide can do a lot. A block slides around corners in one move. Look for a route straight to its gate before you make two small moves.
- Count the gates. Two blocks of one colour with one gate? The order matters: take out the one that is in the way first.
- Melt twins before you move them. One block is one move; two blocks are two.
- Plan the bowl. Work out which colour you need from the bowl before you put the first one in.
- Use Undo and Hint. Undo takes back a move. Really stuck? The Hint button shows a good next move for a few coins.
Boosters
Boosters cost no move and you keep your stars. The Candy Scoop takes one block off the board, the Hair Dryer melts ice at once, the Spring lets a block jump over something, and +5 moves helps in levels with a move limit. You get each booster for free once along the way.
The ten worlds
Each world has ten levels and its own look:
- Candy Meadow
- Lemonade Lane
- Licorice Woods
- Ice Cave
- Strawberry Vale
- Golden Grape Peak
- Bubblegum Bay
- Marshmallow Clouds
- Caramel Canyon
- Chocolate Volcano
A new world opens when you win all three stars on three levels of the world before it. Can't wait? You can also open it with coins.
Level of the week
Every week everyone plays the same level, without hints or boosters. Fewest moves wins, then the fastest time. The leaderboard is on the Tiltwick home page.
Questions
- Is All Blocks Out like Color Block Jam?
- Yes, the idea is the same: slide coloured blocks off the board through exits of their own colour. All Blocks Out adds wobbly jelly blocks, ten worlds, twins, a mixing bowl and a level of the week.
- How many levels are there?
- A hundred levels in ten worlds, plus a level of the week. New levels are added over time.
- How do I get three stars?
- Finish the level in the number of moves shown as the goal. That number comes from our solver, so it can always be done.
- How do I get a wide block through a narrow gate?
- Push it against its gate and hold for a moment: it squeezes into a long strip. Then slide the strip out through the gate.
- Is it free?
- Yes. You play in your browser on a phone, tablet or computer, without a download or an account.
