Privacy policy

Last updated: 27 October 2026

Tiltwick is a collection of free games you play in your browser. We want you to be able to play without worrying about your data. This page explains what we store, why, how long we keep it, and what your rights are.

Styletax.com (with its part Pixelplanners.nl) is the controller for the personal data described here. For any question about privacy, email our email address (info at tiltwick dot com).

Playing without an account

You can play every game without an account and without giving us your name or email address. Your progress, coins, stars and settings (such as language and sound) are saved in your own browser's local storage. That information stays on your device; we do not receive it unless you create an account.

Play statistics

To see which games are played and where players get stuck, the games send us small, anonymous events, for example "level 12 of Sugar Plop started", "level finished" or how many seconds a game was open. Each event contains:

Did you come to Tiltwick through a link on a partner site? Then one event also contains that partner’s code and the name of the site you came from (for example candyblog.com), so we can see which partners bring players. The code is then removed from the address bar.

We do not store your IP address, your name or your email address with these events, and we do not use cookies for them. We built this tool ourselves and do not share this data with any other company. We keep these statistics for at most 2 years.

We do this on the basis of our legitimate interest in improving the games. If you do not want this, you can clear your browser's site data for tiltwick.com, or email us.

Becoming a partner

If you sign up as a partner on our partner page, we store what you fill in: the name and address of your site, your name, your email address, the code you would like and your note. We use it to handle your request, to email you your code and to contact you about the partner program. If you log in with a Tiltwick account on the same email address, the partner page shows you the totals for your code (never data about single players). We keep it for as long as you are a partner; a request we did not approve is deleted within a year. You can ask us to delete it at any time.

Leaderboards

Some games have a weekly tournament or a daily challenge with a leaderboard. If you take part, we store the name you enter, your score or time, and the random browser code described above. The name you choose is visible to all players, so please do not use your full real name if you would rather not. Leaderboards are kept per week or per day and are not linked to your email address.

Your Tiltwick account (optional)

You can create an account to keep your progress and coins safe and continue on another device. For an account we store:

We use your email address to confirm your account and to send you a link when you forget your password. We never sell your email address and we do not send advertising for other companies.

News about new games (only if you want it). When you create an account, or later in the Account window, you can tick a box to get an email now and then when there is a new game or a big update. The box is off unless you tick it. We store whether it is on. We send these emails on the basis of your consent, and you can withdraw it at any time by unticking the box in the Account window or by emailing us; after that you get no more news emails.

Tickets. With an account you can send us a ticket to report a bug, send an idea or ask a question. We store what you write, the screenshot you add (if any), the game and the details the page adds by itself (level, phone or computer, browser and screen size), and our answers. We use it to help you and to improve the games, and we email you when we answer or when your ticket's status changes. A finished or closed ticket is deleted a year after its last change, and all your tickets are deleted together with your account.

To protect accounts against people guessing passwords, we briefly keep a scrambled (hashed) form of the IP address of failed login attempts. These records are deleted after 15 minutes.

We process this data to provide the account you asked for (performance of a contract). We keep your account until you ask us to delete it. To delete your account, email our email address (info at tiltwick dot com) from the address you signed up with; we will delete it within 30 days.

Advertising

To keep Tiltwick free, we show advertisements from Google AdSense (Google Ireland Limited). For example, an ad may appear between two levels, or you can choose to watch an ad in exchange for a reward such as extra moves.

Google and its partners may use cookies and similar techniques to show ads, measure them and prevent fraud, and, if you allow it, to show ads based on your interests. Visitors from the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland are first asked for their consent through a consent message. You can change your choice at any time through the "Privacy settings" link that this message places on the page.

Read more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can turn off personalised ads at adssettings.google.com.

Google Analytics

We also use Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited) to see how many people visit Tiltwick, where they come from (for example a search engine or a link) and which pages they view. Google Analytics uses cookies for this. Google receives your IP address but, for visitors in the EU, does not store it.

Visitors from the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland are asked for their consent first, in the same consent message as for the ads. Until you agree, no Analytics cookies are placed. You can change your choice at any time through the "Privacy settings" link. Read how Google handles this data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Fonts

The fonts on our pages are stored on our own server. Your browser does not connect to Google or any other outside party to load them.

Hosting

Tiltwick runs on servers of Strato AG in Germany, inside the European Union. Strato processes data only on our behalf. Like every web host, it may keep standard server logs for a short time for security.

Children

Tiltwick's games are made mainly for adults, but children are welcome to play. You do not need an account to play. If you are under 16, please ask a parent or guardian before you create an account. If you believe a child has given us personal data without permission, email us and we will delete it.

Security

All traffic to tiltwick.com is encrypted (https). Passwords are stored as secure hashes, and account data is stored in a database that is not publicly accessible.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive your data in a usable form. Email our email address (info at tiltwick dot com) and we will answer within one month.

If you are not happy with how we handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

Changes

If we change how we handle your data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
